Recently, two Booysens SAPS officers, Sergeant Nkoko and Constable Mashaba were conducting foot patrols in Melville Street and Malcolm Avenue in Robertsham, when they spotted two suspicious-looking people standing near a BMW 330, with registration number HY 92 DD GP. When the police officers approached them, the suspects dropped a black bag, and tried to flee. However both suspects were apprehended.
Three unlicensed firearms, an AK47, a R4, and a 9mm were recovered.
Police also recovered ammunition and 4 magazines. The duo were lauded by community members for arresting the suspects.
