On June 2, 2014, at 02:30, a 30-year-old male, Xolani Xabashe, was found murdered in his room. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he was strangled. Paramedics certified him dead at the scene.

The bag he is seen with, belongs to the deceased This incident occurred at the Colloseum Building, situated at the corner of Kruis Street and Commissioner Street. The police are also offering a R100 000 reward to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
