THE body of a man, aged 42 was discovered in his house on December 24, 2018. The body was discovered at Protea South Zone 7. The South African Police Services in Protea Glen is investigating a case of murder.
Lenasia South SAPS spokesperson, Segeant Khalipha Mvula said, “According to information that is available to the police, the discovery was made after the deceased’s nine year old son came to visit his father at around 11:40 am.
“On arrival, he found the door to his father’s two roomed shack slightly opened but the security gate was locked. He allegedly pushed the door and immedietly noticed blood stains on the floor. He allegedly alerted a 32 year old male tenant who in turn alerted the police”.
Sgt Khalipha stated, “The police forced open the gate and upon entering the house discovered the lifeless body of the 42 year old man lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor. Upon examination of the body, the deceased was found to have sustained multiple stab wounds to his head as well as his throat. The motive for the murder has not yet been established and police investigations are continuing. No arrests have been effected at this stage”.
