There is a new modus operandi that the criminals are using around Newtown. They are going around the area stabbing security officers. Some security officers believed that this is to undermine and discourage the good work that the officers are doing around the area. One guard has been stabbed recently and an attempt to stab the other guard was also done.

In a recent incident it is believed that the perpetrators walked towards HMA High Risk Security officer and attempted to stab him. The officer defended himself against suspect. A suspect ran away to the direction of Fordsburg. Security personal are advised to be vigilant.
