A 46-year-old man is currently in police custody awaiting his first court appearance on a charge of possession of a hijacked vehicle.
On Monday, March 19, at around 9pm, police officers attached to the Johannesburg K9 Unit followed up on the tracking signal of a hijacked Nissan double cab that was reportedly hijacked in Douglasdale.

The tracking signal led the police to a house along in Nutmeg Street, Zakariyya Park, where double cab was found parked inside the garage.
“The vehicle was found fitted with false registration plates. The 46-year-old man who was at the premises was arrested and charged with possession of a hijacked vehicle,” said Lenasia South SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Khalipha Mvula.
