While many hail the gruesome killing of a man, a horrendous act, some might hail the perpetrator a hero for defending herself against her abuser.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested for the murder of her 43-year old boyfriend on October 13.
The incident unfolded at Ridges Park, Imperial Flat in Augusta Road at around 4pm.
It is alleged that the woman was assaulted after getting involved in a heated argument with her boyfriend.
The woman is said to have fled to a neighbouring house where she was followed by her boyfriend. It is alleged the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed her boyfriend. The man was rushed to hospital where he was certified dead on arrival.
“A police investigation is underway. The suspect appeared at the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court,” said Johannesburg Central SAPS spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele.
