Following an article published by the Rising Sun this morning (October 8), new information has surfaced.
The article titled, Domestic worker disappears during robbery, read that a domestic worker, a Zimbabwean national, might have been involved in a robbery at the Heron Street home in Extension 1.
According to a family member of those victimised during the ordeal, the domestic worker was indeed involved.
The family member who wished to remain anonymous, revealed to the Rising Sun that the domestic worker is the one who led the suspects into the Extension 1 home and to the safe.
There had been three occupants in the house when the men together with the domestic worker entered the home.
All three occupants were bound by belts, whilst one suspect stood guard. The other suspect escorted the domestic worker to the safe, which was in one of the bed rooms.
The suspect emptied out the safe which had an undisclosed amount of money and jewellery, put it inside a luggage bag and all three escaped the scene in a silver BMW.
It is further alleged that the worker, together with the men, collected her daughter at a Day Care Centre an hour following the robbery.
Police are investigating a case of robbery.
