Six armed men entered a house on Lenasia Extension 7’s Swordfish Street and held the family up at gunpoint on May 2. According to a source, during the early hours of Monday the suspects, entered the area on foot and by removing parts of the boundary gate on Bluefin Avenue, leading to Swordfish Street.
The family was awoken by the suspects in the house.
The family was bound and the suspects ransacked the house. After holding up the family for about an hour and 30 minutes, the suspects fled the scene and exited through the same boundary gate.
The boundary gate on Bluefin Street separates a stretch of open veld and a residential area, added the source.
