The suspects gained entry to the two ATM’s using the roof of a shop, broke the wall behind the ATM’S s and grinded them open.
According to Captain Khoza, SAPS communication officer, two suspects broke into the AMTs, however, were shocked to come face to face with the guards that had bust them, therefore fled the scene leaving the guards with the money.

The guards were charged with theft and suspected possession of stolen property (money) and are under police custody at the Lenasia South Police Station.
“They are due to appear at the Lenasia Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 15,” added Khoza.
The two suspects, that made the break-in, had not yet been arrested.
According to police, as the suspects fled they left their tools (used to break-in) at the scene.
