Mr Ahmed Patel has owned his red Toyota Coralla for nearly three decades. On Friday, February 25 , his car was stolen outside the Lenasia Ext 5 Clinic. A number of cars were stolen in the past from outside the clinic whilst patients waited in long queues. Although many patients have requested to park their vehicles inside the clinic ground, these requests have been ignored.
Mr Patel said that he still cannot believe that his car is gone. “I parked my car outside the clinic. I came back from the clinic after two hours and my car was gone. I approached a security guard, who was busy shining his shoes at that time and he told me that he had not seen anything. It is painful to go to a clinic and to lose one’s car in the process. I am heartbroken.” Mr Patel said that those who might know the whereabouts of his car should contact him on 011 854 4365. The matter has been reported to SAPS.
