The Ennerdale SAPS has recorded a high number of crimes which includes armed robberies, car hijacking and kidnapping. According to Ennerdale SAPS spokesperson, Captain Mokoena, these heinous crimes take place at no specific time of the day or week in Hiltonia. This place used to be a resort. There is a river that flows to the Elandfontein plots that attracts church goers, traditional healers and community members who perform ritual ceremonies. The criminals target vulnerable women and children. The police urge all those who want to visit the area to do so in groups or to avoid the area completely.
