Lenasia SAPS is investigating a case of house robbery. According to Lenasia SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Bafana Ndimande, “A woman alleged that she was at her workplace at Mahanadi Street, in Lenasia Extension 11 A, together with a co-worker having breakfast when two men entered the house unannounced. They were ordered to lie on the floor and then tied and pushed into the bedroom. When the owner of the house arrived, she was held up and forced to go upstairs. One of them took boiling water from the kettle and poured it onto her legs. When she screamed, the men took the hard drive from the CCTV and an undisclosed amount of money and jewellery and fled. The police are investigating a case of house robbery and appeal to the community to assist with information that may lead to the arrest of perpetrators. The two men were wearing blue jeans and sneakers. One of them was armed with a firearm.”
