The Lenasia SAPS is investigating a case of murder following the death of a man in the Thembelihle Informal Settlement. According to Sergeant Bafana Ndimande of the Lenasia SAPS, the police received a report of an assault in progress in Thembelihle. Upon arrival, the police found a woman who alleged that she had quarrelled with her sister. The sister had produced a knife and had attempted to stab her. Her boyfriend had intervened. The sister became angry and wanted to kill him for interfering in a family dispute. The woman indicated a man who was lying on the ground with several stab wounds to his body. An ambulance was summoned to the crime scene and the paramedics certified the victim dead. The pathologists were summoned to the crime scene and they transferred the deceased to Diepkloof Government Mortuary. The suspect has been arrested and will appear soon in the Lenasia Magistrates court.
