Recently, Johannesburg Central Detectives arrested three women between the ages of 22 to 29 for common robbery. The trio were arrested at the corner of Bree and Claim streets.
Johannesburg Central spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele said, “It is alleged that the suspects robbed a 35-year-old man at the Caltex garage, which is situated at the corner of Commissioner and Nugget streets, on August 18. The victim was driving his grey Honda when he offered the suspects, who were under the influence of liquor, a lift. The women told him to dropped them off at their respective homes. He, however, dropped them off at the garage and they become violent. They assaulted him and took his wallet containing R1 600, and three Brazilian hair pieces. The victim, who knew the suspects, drove away after the incident. An investigation is underway and the suspects will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.
