Earlier this morning an unknown man was found with a gun-shot wound to his leg, in a veld near Oupa Fats.
The victim was discovered by a passer-by who immediately contacted the authorities. Provincial paramedics stabilised the victim before transporting him to a hospital.
The victim is believed to be from the Waterworks informal settlement or from Protea South.
