At approximately 1:30 am on March 13, a family of five from Zakaria Park came under attack when two unknown, armed men gained access to their home. The men robbed the family of an undisclosed amount of cash, wedding rings and cell ‘phone handsets.
Lenasia South spokesperson, Sergeant Khalipha Mvula, said, “ The 44 year old owner of the house sustained two stab wounds to his arm and his leg. He received medical attention for the injuries. Additional charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and pointing a firearm, will be added to the main charge. No arrests have been made at this stage and police investigations are continuing.
“The police are appealing to members of the public to assist with information by contacting the Lenasia South SAPS on 010 230 1000, or Crime Stop on 086 001 0111.”
