The bust of the freedom fighter, Valliamma Muniswami Moodliar which was erected in the middle of Rose Park has been stolen. In the past, Lenasians saw the bust being defaced with paint, however, they never thought that someone could end up stealing it.

Valliamah Moodliar Munusamy bust was defaced recently.
Former President of the Tamil Federation of Gauteng Nadas Nad Pillay said he is still shocked about the incident.Mr. Nadas Pillay says he is very concerned that this is the third incident, however, this time it seems as if it was done by a professional,my biggest concern is that many people don’t know the true history of Valliamah Moodliar Munusamy, her role as the youngest child activist who contributed to the freedom of our country South Africa .
