Even after doing what the public is always advised to do to prevent house robberies – locking all doors, closing all windows… etc, three robbers still managed to break into a house in Multan Street in Lenasia Extension 13, much to the dismay of the house owner.
According to police, on July 24, the home owner found three men in the house. Two of the robbers had been in one of the bedrooms, while the other one was in the toilet. The suspects threatened the house owner with firearms and tied him up with shoe laces and covered his head with a balaclava.
They then proceeded to ransack the house.
“The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s white BMW, a home theatre system and cash. At this stage no arrests have been effected but we are investigating a case of house robbery,” said Lenasia SAPS spokesperson, Captain Hector Netshivhodza.
