Recently Volta Steel hardware was burgled.
According to owner, Amin Mayet, the burglary was only discovered when employees repoted for work on Saturday morning.
Stock worth about R10 000 including safety shoes, spanners, hammers and welding equipment was stolen.
“The burglers, ripped off a burglar bar on the window and gained entrance into the store. They took a till containing and over night float of about R1200 asb well as a Mercer Computer among other things,” Mayet said.
Residents are requested to contact Mayet if approached to buy any of the stolen items.
“Only the Iron Man branded size 10 safety shoes were stolen as well as Iron Man branded tools and welding equipment. We know the stolen items will be sold off to residents, we ask that they contact us immediately,” Mayet said.
The burglary was confirmed by the Lenasia South SAPS spokesperson, Captain Hector Netshivhodza.
