On July 3, Johannesburg Central Police arrested two men between the age of 48 and 60, at the corner of Frederick and Von Weilligh Street at 2 pm, for possession of fake money.
Johannesburg Central, spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele elaborated, “Police spotted a white Hyundai with four suspicious looking occupants. They stopped and searched them and found fake R200 and R100 notes and fake dollars on the driver and one of the passengers.”
The manufacturing of fake money is on the rise. However, the police are equal to the task.

He added, “Investigation is under way and suspects will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court”.
