Today, the Lenasia Extension 9 and Extension 10 residents took to the streets to protest against power cuts.
According to the residents, the power cuts are a reoccurring problem.
“It’s Ramadaan and we are fasting, when its time to break our fast then we experience power cuts,” said a resident.
“Our power has been on and off for the past three weeks. Our councillor has gone awol hence we took to the streets. We started protesting yesterday at about 6 pm and by 10 pm the power was restored. However, this morning again when we had to prepare for Sehri there was no power.”
Motorists were urged to use alternative routes.
