Recently, a man was arrested in Mentz Street, for possession of dagga with a street value of R60 000.
Booysens police, spokesperson Captain Lorraine van Emmerik said, “The police notice a suspicious looking man standing on the street. They stopped and searched him and his car, where they found a large amount of dagga. The suspect was placed under arrest and was taken to the Booysens police station.”

Booysens police management thanked the team who effected the arrest. They included, Captain Aboobaker Buckus, Warrant Officer Emile Grobler, Constable Michael Cronje and Traffic Warden Jordan Smith.
