On Wednesday, March 28, at about 3pm, a 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a hijacked vehicle.
“The arrest follows that of the recovery of a blue Toyota Corolla by police, which was reported hijacked in January this year in the Lenasia South policing precinct.
“The South African Police Service responded swiftly to a tip-off of a suspicious vehicle that was at the BP service station in Wimbledon Road in Lenasia South. The vehicle was used in a hijacking that was reported at the Lenasia South Police Station.”
The suspect will appear at the Lenasia Magistrates’ Court.
