“We appeal to the community and the taxi industry to assist us with any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators who killed the taxi owner,” said the police’s Captain Mpande Khoza.

Although speculation is that the killing might be connected to recent incidents of taxi violence in the area, Mpande said that motive for the killing is unknown and is being investigated.
Anyone who might have information is requested to contact the Lenasia SAPS on 011-213-6000 or the National Crime Line 086-001-0111.
