Criminals have been terrorising university students around Brixton for the past years. To eradicate crime around the area, a Neighbourhood Watches intensified the fight against crime.
On September 12, Brixton SAPS, JMPD, HHH Security, ASARS, Blackops Squard, Tau Security and Guardians members managed to arrest 3 suspects who robbed a (UJ) University of Johannesburg student.
The MG vehicle that was used during the commission of crime was spotted in Brixton and law enforcement agencies responded swiftly and arrested the suspects. The vehicle was impounded and a gas gun was found in the car.

Brixton SAPS spokesperson, Jeanette Backhoff said, “Three suspects were arrested for robbing a female student from UJ. A case of armed robbery was opened. The incident occurred on Gording Avenue and the suspects were arrested at High Street,” she said.
