“A 29-year-old man is behind bars for murder after he was arrested by Lenasia South SAPS on Monday, March 6,” said Lenasia SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Mvula.

On March 4, at about 5.45pm, the suspect went to the victim’s house in Hospital Hills, Lenasia South, and had an argument ensued.
“The suspect accused the victim of having an affair with his girlfriend – the mother of his child.”
It is alleged the suspect pulled out a screwdriver and stabbed the victim on the head and then fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injury.
“The suspect was tracked down to Vryburg in the North West and arrested on Monday, March 6,” Mvula added.

The suspect appeared at the Protea Magistrates’ Court on March 8, on a charge of murder.
