The newly established, Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department K9 Unit is working tirelessly to eradicate crime. The unit’s focus is mainly on drug related cases and they have done tremendously work since its inception.

On February 17, JMPD K9 Unit officers acting on a tip-off, arrested suspects at a house on Tully Street, Rosettenville, for possession of 27kg of dagga with a street value of approximately R35 000 and R9 000 in cash.
The community commended the JMPD K9 for their sterling work.
JMPD K9 urge members of community to report any illegal activities to the police.
