Six men, described by police as dangerous, escaped from the Ennerdale police station on the morning of Sunday, September 11, after they managed to cut a hole in the roof of their cell.
“The suspects are wanted in connection with various business robberies around Ennerdale, Lenasia South, The Vaal area, Orange Farm, Fine Town, and many other places where they have been terrorising the community and businesses. They are also wanted for possession of firearms.The community is advised not to approach the suspects as it is believed that they are well-armed,” said police spokesperson, Captain Mpande Khoza.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the suspects should contact the police on 08600-111 or the SMS line 32211 or Captain Joseph at 079-525-1499.
The suspects are:
- Tsepo Calias Witters Liduma, 26, of Fine Town.
- Xolani (Alias) Baas, 25, of Fine Town.
- Lehlohonolo Mkhabu, 29, of Lesotho, currently residing at Mazibuko Park.
- Bright Kheswa, 27, of Mozambique, currently residing in Fine Town.
- Bause Kgotso Bennedect, 26, of Fine Town.
- Mkgomotsi Elias Matjejane, 29, of Fine Town
