On a Sunday a 67-year-old woman, residing in Dahlia Street in Lenasia Extension 2, was awakened by the sound of a person knocking at the door.
The man knocked on the door six times in order to check if anybody was inside the house. Upon receiving no answer the man left.
“He later returned and knocked again. This time I opened the door. As he was about to enter I threw an ashtray at him. I told him it is either his life or mine but I was not going down without a fight. He was startled and he fled,” added the woman.
The Lenasia SAPS and the CPF were called in and searched the area. However, the suspect could not be found. The woman had been staying in the area for about 38 years.
