Police are investigating a case of business robbery after four armed men robbed Nanas Superette on Tuesday, April 12.
“The suspects entered the shop and bought atchaar worth R20 before robbing the store,” said Captain Hector Netshivhodza of the Lenasia SAPS.
According to Emran Khan, the store owner, after the suspects paid the cashier, they pulled out their firearms and demanded money.
They assaulted the cashier and another employee before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
“We are investigating a case of business robbery. No arrests have been made thus far,” added Netshivhodza.
The store is situated a few metres away from a smash and grab hotspot along Nirvana Drive and an illegal gambling school at the Lenasia Taxi Rank.
