Five armed men broke into a house in Reeds Flat, in Lenasia Extension 13, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 1.
They went into the main bedroom, held the couple up at gunpoint, and demanded cash and jewellery. The men then tied the couple up and covered them with clothing before ransacking the house and fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, a plasma TV and sound system.
The couple, and their children, who were in a separate room were not injured in the incident.
According to a source, the suspects gained entry to the flat through a ‘slightly open window’.
