According to Lenasia SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Bafana Ndimande, the police received a report of a body in the Nana’s Farm Informal Settlement in Lenasia. Upon arrival, the officers found an unidentified male lying on the ground, covered with a blanket. The paramedics were summoned to the crime scene and certified the victim dead. The deceased had sustained bruises to his upper body. He was estimated to be in his early forties. The pathologists transferred the deceased to the Diepkloof Government Mortuary. The motive for murder is unknown at this stage.
The Lenasia SAPS appeals to the public to assist with any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrator/s. Those with information should contact the SAPS Crime Stop line on 086 001 0111 or the Lenasia Police Station on 011 213-6045/6/7.
