Criminals are always inventing new ways of terrorising the public. They use convincing methods to gain access to unsuspecting victims. On August 5, it is alleged that criminals used a black panel van sporting Covid-19 stickers during the commission of a crime. According to Lenasia SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Bafana Ndimade, a woman alleged that she was at her residence at Islamabad Street in Lenasia Extension 11B when she heard a motor vehicle driving into her property.
She ran into her bedroom and hid under the bed. One unidentified man found her and ordered her to come out. She saw other identified men. They took her cash and other items worth an undisclosed amount of money. The items were loaded into the van. The registration number is unknown.
