Lenasia SAPS is investigating a case of murder and business robbery following the killing of an Indian male. The incident occurred at the shop situated at Volta Street, Lenasia Extension 10, on June 18.
Lenasia SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Bafana Ndimande, said, “Six unknown African males armed with firearms entered the shop and pretended to be customers. They demanded money from the Indian male who was behind the counter. One of the assailants shot him twice on the upper body, and he fell onto the floor as a result. They took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.”
Sgt Ndimande added, “The paramedics were summoned to the crime scene and certified the victim dead.” Those with information should contact the SAPS National Crime Stop line at 08600 10111 / Lenasia Police Station at (011) 213-6045/6 or (011) 213-6057.”
