ON February 4, Lenasia South successfully established an interim CPF structure.
The structure was established during a special general meeting which was held at Lancaster Primary School. The establishment of the interim Lenasia South CPF structure came as a result of the disbanding of the permanent CPF structure late in November 2018. Some of the executive members had resigned from their positions because of family commitments.
The interim CPF structure has been tasked with ensuring that within a period of 90 days it must have a proper structurewhich will be presented during the annual general meeting at the end of the 90 day period.
The special general meeting was chaired by the acting chairperson of the Soweto West Cluster CPF, Mr Abu Asvat.
Mr Nazo from the Department of Community Safety was present to oversee the proceedings.
Three people were nominated from each of the three sector forums to be part of the interim CPF structure.
From sector 1 ,the following people were nominated:
Mr Mandla Mhlongo,Mr Thabo Mabekenyane and Mr Doctor Sithole.
Sector 2: Mr Ridwaan Minty, Mr Kovillan Govender and Mrs Lorraine Baai.
Sector 3: Mr Patrick Ngwana, Mr Thebe Mokoena and Mr Abdul Raju.
