GREENSIDE community members are still trying to come to terms with the death of a man who was found dead in a river in the area.
The body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found in a river along a park in Tana Road. The incident occurred recently.
ER24, spokesperson, Russel Meiring elaborated, “ We were called to the scene after members of the community had found the body. Upon arrival, paramedics found local authorities already in attendance. SAPS Search and Rescue services retrieved the body of the man found floating in the shallow water”.

Meiring stated, “On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a large stab wound to his chest and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
