Lenasia SAPS together and the Soweto West Cluster conducted a raid at two ‘problematic’ schools.
While they were about to start conducting the raid, they were informed about an assault which just took place.
Lenasia SAPS, spokesperson, Captain Hector Netshivhodza said, “ We were informed that a 17 year old lad assaulted a girl (17), who sustained minor injuries. The suspect was arrested. However, he was later released. In terms of Child Justice Act a child under age cannot be detained in police custody.”
