The Soweto West and East cluster launched a new campaign in a bid to rid communities of crime. The campaign was launched at the Uncle Tom hall recently.
The programme, called Devine Intervention aims to address various issues plaguing communities, through prayer meetings and conferences.
“We aim to interact with people from our communities. Each police station will come up with their own strategy to introduce the campaign,” said Lenasia South SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Khalipha Mvula.
The campaign will see police officers visiting schools, orphanages as well as churches to preach the word of God.
