“We are appealing to the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands if crime is committed. Report the incident to the police”, said Captain Xoli Mbele of Johannesburg Central.
This came after a motorist assaulted a car guard, who was later declared dead. The incident occurred on August 10, on the corner of Rissik and Pritchard Streets at 3 pm.

The police went to the suspect’s place in Alexandra but they didn’t find him. The suspect later handed himself to the Johannesburg Central SAPS. The 25-year-old suspect will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.
Captain Xoli Mbele, Johannesburg Central SAPS said, “It is alleged that the suspect parked his Silver Grey Toyota Yaris and went to a fast food restaurant to buy food; when he came back he realised that two of his bags were missing. He questioned the car guard about his bags and they fought. The suspect then drove off and paramedics were called and certified the victim dead on the scene”.
