N12 incidents continues

On Sunday, June 3, at about 2.15 am, a white Nissan NP200 bakkie rolled and an Isuzu bakkie suffered  tyre damage after rocks were placed  on the N12, near Lenasia, before the pedestrian bridge.

It is reported that the Nissan NP200, which was travelling on the N12 West, heading towards Lenasia, hit a rock and then lost control.

“The Nissan NP200 entered the centre median, hit the concrete barrier and rolled across both lanes of the N12 before coming to a halt in the ditch on the left hand side of the road,” said the N12 Risk Notice Team.

“The occupants were robbed of their cell ‘phones and wallets. A few minutes later a group of residents from the SlovoPark Informal Settlement assisted the victims in getting out of the vehicle.”

The driver sustained facial injuries, a dislocated shoulder and fractured ribs. He and his passengers were transported to hospital by ambulance.

“The occupants were not robbed,” stated the N12 Risk Notice Team.
