A Hyundai H100 bakkie and a truck collided at the R558 and M10 intersection, next to the Lawley train station, on November 27.
“TacMed Rescue Squad members were dispatched at 5.57pm to the R558 and M10, close to the Lawley train station for an accident,” said TacMed Rescue Squad in a statement.
“On further investigation TacMed Rescue Squad members found that the driver of the H100 was entrapped in the vehicle and need to be extricated.”
TacMed Rescue Squad members gathered their equipment and immediately started to extricate the patient out.
Six patients were treated by the City of Johannesburg Ambulance, while the seventh patient was transported by Pulsate Ambulance with the help of ER24 ALS.
All patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
“TacMed Rescue Squad members would like to thank Pulsate Ambulance, ER24, City Of Johannesburg Ambulance, STR Towing, JML Towing, City Of Johannesburg Fire Department, Mic holders and bystanders for all their assistance,” the statement further read.
