Lenasia police arrested a 22-year-old woman on Friday, October 27, for murder.
“The arrested came after police published the indenti kit of the possible wanted suspect who murdered a 74-year-old woman on October 5, inside her house in Lenasia Extension 13,” said Captain Hector Netshivhodza of the Lenasia SAPS.
According to Captain Netshivhodza, after the police informer identified the wanted suspect, the informer alerted the police and the wanted suspect was arrested.
The suspect’s first appearance was at the Lenasia Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 23, and the case was postponed for further investigation.
“We would like to thank those who provided us with information. Together we can squeeze the criminals and bring them to book for their evil actions,” added Netshivhodza.
