The Lenasia South Police recently released a statement alerting residents in the area and the surrounding areas to be on a high alert concerning a black Audi A3 with no registration plates.
“The black Audi A3 is being driven around the Lenasia South area with two occupants armed with a firearm, and who are looking to rob unsuspecting members of the community of their cell phones and other valuables,” said Sergeant Khalipha Mvula of the Lenasia South SAPS.
He added, “These armed suspects speak fluent Zulu and one of them has a scarred face.”
The occupants of the black Audi A3 were involved in an armed robbery on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, where a 26-year-old woman was robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint just as she was closing the main gate at her home on Giantcastle Street, Lenasia South Extension 4.
“The community is urged to contact their sector patrol van as soon as they spot the vehicle in the area.
