On Thursday, June 2, a 29-year-old was sitting with a friend in his brother’s VW Golf 6 at the corner of Starling and Kingfisher Street in Lenasia South, when four armed men held them up.
“The suspects’, who were travelling in a Mercedes, forced the victims into the back seat and drove off with them,” said Sergeant Khalipa Mvula of the Lenasia South SAPS.
They were dropped off at the BP Garage on Starling Street. The hijackers then made off in both vehicles.
The victims were unharmed.
Police are investigating a case of vehicle hijacking. No arrests have been made thus far.
