The break of dawn on March 27, saw five armed men break into a bakery at the Lenasia CBD and escape with an undisclosed amount of money, two cell phones, driver’s licence, cigarettes knives and the safe and car keys.
According to Captain Hector Netshivhodza of the Lenasia SAPS, the bakery owner was preparing for morning prayers and was ready to head to the mosque when the suspects entered. The victim was ordered not to look at the suspects.
“They took the owner’s car keys but didn’t take the vehicle,” said Netshivhodza.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery. No arrests have been made thus far.
